James Bond cake!

Ridiculous awesomeness.  :oP  A James Bond cake.  LOVE IT  :]
(Click on the picture to see it full size.)

I can't believe it's October already!  It's hard to think that we've only been married for four months!  It's felt so much longer.  In a good way of course.  :oP

concrete jungle

Compiled inspirations.

Cityscape cake: how cool is that?!  This city girl likies.  (Source)

Maybe we can have a design to represent the both of us like this Threadless tee!

City for me, trees for the Oregon boy.  :)  (Source)

Another candle/light idea I found!  Again, thank you Martha.

"Rubber stamp, white ink, and glass candleholders -- frosted glass holds ink best."  Sounds simple enough yeah?  Not as easy as printing on vellum paper and wrapping it around, but close enough!  It would be so easy to personalize these!  (Source)

Coming up next!  Dessert bar.  Centerpieces.  (The basic idea of them was one of the first wedding ideas conceived!)  Bout inspiration.  (Oh... maybe it's time to try again.  I bought some leaves!).  I can't WAIT for our rings to arrive on Tuesday, along with Tim, so we can try them on togeher.  :-D  (Is it Tues yeeeeet???)  I think you really don't realize all the small, simple tasks that that easy to take for granted when you live in the same city!  I was thinking of getting him to get measured for a suit but... I don't know if I want to waste precious time with him being within breathing distance doing that.  Or having to fight pre or post Christmas crowds!  Though I don't know if suit shops are actually Christmas crowd magnets.  Though parking at the mall (it was soooo crowded on Satuarday!) will still be a pain.  I guess we'll see.

Exhausted.  Long, long day.  Must go to bed now.  Happy Sunday!

cake toppers II

One of Miss Pretzel's posts today was totally familiar. My cousin actually found me the SAME Lego minifigs on ebay just yesterday. We have contemplated Lego minifigs, and I think Timmy would like that. Buuut... I feel like I am still waiting for something to jump at me where I'll say, "OMGOSH, that is so us, we HAVE to have that!!" (And then realize it's too expensive and then I'll have to like... make it. :-P Any excuse to do crafts, right?)

But for now, more cake toppin' inspiration.

I.... like squirrels. :) But these are kinda ugly lumpy...  (Source)

So cute! And Asian. :oP  (Source)

I like how these have real/3D clothes.  (Source)

Or we could be boring classic and just have a monogram :-P  (Source)

For some reason I really like these. Nice and simple. :) Kissy love birds!  (Source)

What do you think? Do you like any of these? What do you think would be more "us"?

top 'o the cake to ya!

We talked about cakes the other day (those I suppose you don't put cake toppers on groom's cake)... but here are some cool, potential cake toppers for the non-grooms cake! Even though I'm not sure we're having cake yet... which will be another post! WAIT! Don't say you won't come! I promise there'll be dessert! And cake if you want, I'm SURE there'll be some sort of cake there... I promise...

So casual, so whimsical! :) Not your typtical bride&groom standing on top of cake deal.  And the little blue flowers definitely make it cuter.  They had one where the bride and groom were sitting like that and eating cake (but I couldn't find it anymore).  *sad*  (Source)

*pinch*  hehe. I'd do it too. :-P  (Source)

Aww, a little precious moment like?  (Source)

Just cutesy wewtsy. Esp with the Asian chick and the white boy  ;)  Whaaaaat?!  I like personalized.  :oP  (Source)

A little too freakay for me... O_O  Bobbleheads anyone?  (Source)

Do you think our cake topper should LOOK like us?  :-P  Or represent us (hair color)?  Or something funny is better?  Or just not representatives of humans (animals, flowers, etc)?

groom's cakes

So. We're not Southern. And we don't have $ for a fancy pants grooms cake. But here are some REALLY cool ones I would consider getting if we had a money tree. {la la la la money tree, money tree}

Ok... so maybe I would like this one... Really, if you've met Tim it wouldn't be as hard to distinguish who's the bigger nerd. :oP  (Source)

We both play and love them ivory keys!  (Source)

How about a bride's cake?  (Source)

Actually, I'd want this one  (Source)

Or this one. hehe  (Source)

I LOVE the book the "laptop" is sitting on. It's so Tim. :oP  (Source)

We'd rock this. :) Except I'd want OG NES, N64, and Tim can have another system of his choice and the Xbox 360. :oP  (Source)

I think it'd be SO cute... if they made Diefy into a cake. HAHA. :)

Men! What would you want your groom's cake to be? Ladies! What would you get your man? Or... if you don't have a man, what would you want YOUR fun cake to be? :)
