My first was the Union Street Bridal Walk. (Here's a random Reuters press release on it) Apparently, there's an aggomeration of wedding related shops on Union Street. You got this card at one of the "main stations" and then you had to go to like 20 shops and get a stamp. If you finish that, you get a super swag bag that includes a bottle of wine. Abby was nice enough to go with me (and then her little friend Eric joined us for a bit), but we got through about 10 stores before I got tired and I didn't really care for the swag bag anyway. I did pick up a bag at Bella Bridesmaid and that had enough random stuff in it to keep me entertained. :)
The second was just this past Sunday, A City Club Affair, The City Club of San Francisco Wedding & Event Show. I went with Beck. It was posh and fancy. Champagne and coat check to greet us and a series of tables to walk through. A good number of cake people! Which means, samples!
The third one was just last night! I had dinner with Heidi and then we mosey-ed on over to Fort Mason. It was a little different since it was the 2010 San Francisco Dream Wedding Giveaway mixer, but it was basically a platform for vendors to display their services. It was relatively small but lots of fun! And lots of food! hehe. :)
Popcorn bar by Nancy Liu Chin!
Close up on my "contestant badge!" Since my Tim wasn't there, Heidi was the other half of the "couple" :-P
Printed on sugar! Yummy cupcakes by FB&C :)
Balloon sculptures! (The guy makes crazy things, like a couch that you can sit on.) Heidi as my stand-in groom! :oP
There were a bunch of other fun things and neato vendors, so these are only a few highlights. Let me know if you want to come with next time! haha.
And! If you didn't know already... Tim and I are entered in the 2010 San Francisco Dream Wedding Giveaway. Please visit our page here, and show some love (please leave a comment if you haven't done so already!) :)
